What are some of the most common reasons give when asked why they haven’t continued with language learning or job-related training? How about any of the following:
“I don’t have enough time to take a class.”
“I don’t want to spend money on something that may not help me.”
“I don’t know where to go to get help.”
Life gets busy. I know! Language coaching can help.
Individual language coaching provides ongoing, flexible and customized support to busy people who need guidance and practice with their communication skills. Clients do not need to book a minimum number of sessions, so they are in full control of the pace and intensity of learning. Of course, I always discuss the importance of regular practice and commitment to staying on track with one’s goals, and my role of coach is to encourage, push and challenge clients to keep working on their goals even when it feels difficult.
By breaking down big, broad goals into smaller, more manageable pieces, clients are able to see steady progress and improvements in their communications with others. Celebrating these positive changes helps to keep clients motivated and focused on the long-term goal.
